A large elaborate French ormolu on brass fire fender with fire urns in the centre moving to the heads of Bacchus on each side of the outer urns set upon pillars plinths attached to the classic gallery frees and balustrade. Resets attached to each pillar. Beautifully made with incredible craftsmanship. The castings of Bacchus facial expression are remarkable. Bacchus was the Roman god of agriculture, wine and fertility, copied from the Greek god Dionysus.
