20th century pair Malachite Urns.
A very high quality pair of Belle Époque style gilt bronze and malachite urns. Each with Berainesque gilt bronze tracery cast everted rim above a vessel mounted with oval plaques within acorn and oak leaf frames, the first depicting two partially clad classical women engaged in conversation with putti at their feet, the second depicting two Muses beneath a palm tree and a pyramid in the background, one Muse holding a relief plaque of Louis XIV; handles cast with bearded masks wearing laurel wreaths and joined to the plaques by oak and acorn swags; the shaped socle with cabochon and volute scrolls raised on a stepped square plinth with canted corners.
Pure luxury and uniqueness in this Malachite and Brass combination Vase. Malachite is a precious stone which is usually found in small quantities and is formed over thousands of years. The most striking property of the Malachite stone is its gorgeous green color. Each part of the Vase is put together carefully with hand by skilled craftsmen. The most eye catching feature of Malachite is its vivid green color and mind blowing textures. This vase is hand castes with White Metal, the structure is then covered with beautiful Malachite green stone and gilded bronze details which are gold plated. As this item is made from natural stone, colour, texture and shade variations are natural for the stone.
