A magnificent 19th-century Carrara and Verde Antico marble chimneypiece, crafted in the elegant George III style. This finely proportioned chimneypiece features an inverted breakfront shelf adorned with a classic dentil cornice, resting above a frieze decorated with ribbon-tied bell husk garlands and a central tablet showcasing a beautifully carved draped pedestal urn. The composition embodies the sophistication and refined detailing associated with the period.

The faux fluted jambs are accented by oval patera carvings and terminate in slender pedestal vase headers, all resting on block feet. The alternating slip is bordered with a bead and reel molded edge, enhancing the overall decorative appeal. This chimneypiece comes complete with cast iron inner plates and a later hearth, making it both an architectural and functional feature for luxurious interiors.
