A stunning 19th century Art Nouveau claret jug which has the function for holding red wine and water. The jug has silver plated mountings: Spout, lid and handle which are stunningly ornamented with chiselled decorations consisting of scrolls, acanthus leaves, wine leaves and a mascaron visible at spout. Gorgeous etched and carved ornaments of leaves partially cover glass surface. Round tiered foot existing.
