A spectacular 19th century mahogany circular inlaid liquor caddie. The caddie is inlaid throughout, and stands on four beautifully floral cast mounted Ormolu frieze quad base. The handcut crystal gold leaf glasses and port & cherrie decanters, offered in full set. Absolutely stunning detail and perfect for home use straight away. These pieces started appearing in the 18th century as a way to transport liquor when traveling by horse-drawn carriage. Considered old-fashioned and phased out by the 1900s, the boxes were initially simple in design and made from mahogany wood with some inlaid work.
