18th century Louis XVI hand carved rouge marble fireplace surround. Beautifully understated, hand carved Louis marble fireplace, late 18th century French rouge marble fireplace. A very rare serpentine shaped frieze with scrolls to each end. Recessed panel moldings carved into both jambs and frieze which sets it off with a delicate finish.
