This unique pair of mahogany English regency style sewing/side tables, Cerca, 1820. It is a very rear find two identical and finely made sowing boxes together with such an adorable story attached to them. On opening the top lid one finds the most charming hexagonal pocket tray with a note from "Uncle Walter" from 1908 to his nieces on their 18th Birthday. The paper lining is equally engaging and remarkably well preserved with gold stars on midnight lapis blue. There are two additional draws with brass handles. The boxes are mounted on elegant swept reeded and hipped supports. Perfect for a bedroom or living room.
